A scarce original circa Second World War period 'Telephone Manufacturing Company employees numbered thanks badge'; chromium plated example inlaid with blue enamel, the centre bearing the 'TMC' logo in red; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham' and official issue number '2392'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Height approx 25mm.
The 'Telephone Manufacturing Company Ltd' was a British manufacturer of telephone equipment established in Dulwich London. During Second World War the company manufactured equipment for the General Post Office, including parts for Churchill's Scrambler Phone.
