A scarce immediate Great War period badge awarded to a 'Territorial Force volunteer worker for war work at the '1st Northern General Hospital, Newcastle'; silver plated oval example, bearing blue enamel title surround "1st N.G. Hospital T.F 1914 Garment Depot 1919", a further red inner scroll "'Appreciation of Services During The War" and displaying a patriotic enamelled "Union Flag" to the centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details "Fattorini & Sons Bradford". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
