WW2 Royal Air Force RAF war workers numbered identification badge

A scarce original wartime period 'Royal Air Force lapel badge'; Crowned silver plated example bearing RAF eagle to the centre on green enamel ground, official Air Ministry issue number '88487' number to the front, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Dingley B'ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Height approx 37mm.
Worn as an official identification for civilians On Government Work serving on RAF Airfields, etc.
