WW2 Royal Air Force war workers numbered identification badge

A scarce original wartime period 'Royal Air Force badge'; gilt brass quatrefoil example, the centre bearing Crowned 'Per Ardva Astra' RAF eagle on translucent red enamel ground, officially impressed with official issue number to the front '90271', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Dingley B'ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example. Height approx 31mm. Worn as an official identification for civilians On Government Work serving on RAF Airfields, etc.
