Royal Observer Corps cold war period lapel and cap badge

A scarce original early post 1953 large silver plate badge with pale blue enamel circlet 'Forewarned is Forearmed' and 'Royal Observer Corps', surmounted by a Queen's Crown, the centre depicting an Elizabethan coastwatcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
