Imperial Airways officers gilt cap badge circa 1924-39

A rare original circa 1930's 'Imperial Airways gilt cap badge', 'IA' monogram within an oak leaf wreath joined at the top by a lion on torse. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin.
Height 52mm.
Imperial Airways was founded in 1924 and was merged into the British Overseas Airways Corporation in 1939, later to become British Airways.
