Robertsons Golly tennis player white waistcoat advertising badge Marples Beasley

A scarce original example of a circa 1950's period 'Robertson's Golly tennis player badge', this example with large head, light blue coat, blue hands and red feet, no pockets to his white waistcoat which bears the advertising slogan 'Golden Shred'; the reverse with maker's details in relief and in a circle type III 'Marples & Beasley B'Ham'. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, stress marks to upper legs, otherwise enamel perfect, gilt remains bright.
