Jaguar Motor Car SS Cars Ltd salesman advertising badge c1930

A rare original small hexagon shape chromium plated lapel promotional badge, depicting the stylized letters symbol of the Swallow Sidecar Company known as 'SS Cars Ltd' and 'SS Jaguar', the reverse impressed with maker's details "W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd Birmingham". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings.
Height 18mm.
In 1945 the company changed its name to Jaguar Cars Ltd, because of the connotations of the use of the SS name by Nazi Germany.
