A scarce original 1994 pattern 'Boys' Brigade Queen's badge'; a full sized large gilt pentagon designed example mounted with pierced Queen's Crown, the central device bearing 'Sure & Stedfast' anchor over red cross and flanked by 'B B', on blue enamel ground; the reverse retaining pre-2000 horizontal tube joint pin fitting and flat-rolled catch. Excellent condition.

The Boys' Brigade 1914 Hardy Cup, 42nd Company Liverpool, Colour Sergeant William Taylor Barron Joss (WW1 Military Cross), Silver Prize Winner's Medal by William Hair Haseler, Birmingham.

A superb 'Boys' Brigade 1914 Hardy Cup' jeweller's made prize winner's medal of the finest quality, in the form of a 'Maltese Cross' fretted in and around the arms and bearing the pre-1926 Boys' Brigade anchor on central shield within a strap; the reverse inscribed "42nd Coy" "Col.Sergt. Wm. T.B.Joss"; bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1913 and maker's details "WHH" (William Hair Haseler) to the medal and "W.J.D" (William James Dingley) to the suspension bar. Excellent condition, retaining original red silk ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings.

Attributed to: 'Second Lieutenant William Taylor Barron Joss MC'. During the Great War he originally served with the Royal Army Medical Corps and then the Army Service Corps, before being commssioned into the Northumberland Fusiliers on the 25th April 1917. He landed in Egypt on the 16th March 1915 gaining a 1914/15 Star Trio. He was discharged with the issue of the Silver War Badge on the 8th July 1919.
He was awarded the Military Cross on the 11th March 1918 for leading a patrol into No Mans land. His section came under heavy bombardment and he carried two wounded soldiers back to the British Lines.

Boys' Brigade Dechmont Jubilee Camp Badge 1933 Kirkhill, Glasgow.

A scarce original 'Boys' Brigade Dechmont Jubilee Camp badge', originally lightly silvered over copper gilding metal, but typically with service wear, the plating has completely worn away revealing only the copper brass underneath, the top scroll depicting the figure of 'St. Mungo' inlaid with blue enamelling. Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

The Boys' Brigade Dechmont special camp badge was presented to each of the 2079 boys attending the camp held from the 8th-11th September 1933 at Dechmont Kirkhill Glasgow Scotland. It was worn on the left lapel during the Camp and afterwards transferred to become a decoration worn on the left arm under the 'King's Badge' and the 'Long Service Badge' throughout his service in the Boys' Brigade to show he had been one of the representative Boys at the Jubilee Camp.
