A good original circa 1950's 'Queen's Institute of District Nursing hat badge', large oval black felt example displaying the 'Queen Victoria Imperial Cypher' in embroidered silver wire bullion, the reverse with black cotton lining. Very good condition, bullion with minor dulling.

Became the 'Queen’s Institute of District Nursing' in 1928 and the 'Queen’s Nursing Institute' in 1973.

'Charing Cross Hospital London' Bronze Nurses Badge Named to the Recipient 'C.O.Privett'.

A very scarce original "Charing Cross Hospital, London" heavy bronze medal, in the form of a Maltese cross with fleur-de-leys between each arm, complete with original dark blue and red silk ribbon with early type buckle suspension bar with pin fittings, the reverse inscribed to the recipient "C.O.Privett". An excellent example, with good patina.

A rare original early pattern First World War issue without the 'State' in the title; oxidised silver plated example depicting the symbolic figure of 'Juno Lucina' Roman goddess of childbirth within a blue enamel title surround "Certified Midwife", the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Ltd Hockley St Birmingham Ltd"(moved from this address in 1927) "REGd No.725933" and inscribed "E.Bloomfield 47121. 11-5-18". Very good condition, enamel perfect, retaining original suspension ring complete with original neck cord.

A very scarce 'St George's Home silver and enamel nurses badge' in the form of a cross, mounted with the 'London County Council Coat of Arms' to the centre, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1931 and maker's details "F&S" (Fattorini & Son). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, no damage to the enamel surround but manufacturers flaws to the LCC Arms, minor surface scratches.

St George's Home' founded in 1914 was situated in 'Milman's Street London SW10'. Prior to 1948 its status was a Tuberculosis Hospital. It sadly closed in 1957.
