A scarce original post 1967 period '4th Issue Silver Acorn and Medal of Merit award', the reverse impressed with maker's details "D.G.C" (Sir D.George Collins London) impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1973, inscribed "E.J.Wood 24.4.74" complete with original silk neck ribbon and green velour metal case; the Medal of Merit inscribed "E.J.Wood 25-3-59" complete with original silk ribbon, suspension bar with pin fittings and card presentation case with 'Sir D.George Collins London' maker's details to the lid. Both awards are in very good condition, as is the metal presentation case however card case with broken corners and scuffs.
