A good original post 1940 Second World War period English made 'Free French Air Force pilot's wing supporters badge'; gilded brass example bearing the 'Cross of Lorraine' within a red, white and blue shield mounted with star and bearing a V shaped title below "F.A.F.L." (Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains bright, an excellent example.

A rare original post 1940 Second World War period English made 'Free French Air Force pilot's wing badge'; large gilded brass example bearing the 'Cross of Lorraine' within a red, white and blue shield mounted with star and bearing a V shaped title below "F.A.F.L." (Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres); the reverse impressed with official issue number "3413". Good condition, retaining the correct style original pin fittings, service wear to the enamel with stress marks and chips, gilt remains bright, complete with original black felt cloth backing.

The Free French Air Forces (Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres, FAFL) were the air arm of the Free French Forces during the Second World War from 1940. They officially ceased to hold this title from 1943, with the merger of Free French Forces with General Giraud's anti-German forces, but were still commonly known by the title until the liberation of France in 1944, when they became the regular French Air Army.

A good original post 1940 Second World War period English made 'Free French Navy badge'; small diamond-shaped gilded brass enamel badge bearing the 'Cross of Lorraine' and "France Libre"; the reverse with "Regd No 83830". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.

A good original Second World War period English made 'Free French supporters badge' small gilded brass circular example enamelled in the colour of the French flag, bearing the 'Cross of Lorraine' and the initials "AVF" (Amis des Voluntaires Francais). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, small nick to enamel right side, gilt finish remains bright.

A rare original post 1940 Second World War period English made 'Free French Navy' large diamond-shaped brass and enamel badge bearing the 'Cross of Lorraine', worn by 'Forces Navales Françaises Libres' officers on the breast of their uniform, the reverse stamped with issue number "WR664" and with "Regd No 838307" a registered, design and patent date of early 1941. Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, service wear to the enamel with stress marks both top and bottom.
