WW2 Northern Command printed cloth formation sign badge
A very good original Second World War example of Northern Command (UK) Printed Cloth Formation Sign, green Adam's Apple on blue diamond, the reverse with folded edge. Very good used condition.
Approx 50 x 37mm.
The sign, Adam's Apple, was chosen during the time of the former Adjutant General (General Sir Ronald F. Adam). Northern Command had its Headquarters at York.

A very good original Second World War example of Anti-Aircraft Command Woven Cloth Formation Sign, black embroidered bow and arrow on red felt backing, the reverse with beige hessian backing. Very good condition.
Approx 57 x 55mm.
Originally this formation badge was worn only by the staff of General Sir Frederick Pile's HQ, but in 1943 it was universally adopted for use by all formations and units of Air Defence of Great Britain (ADGB) including the Home Guard batteries, and the use of separate badges as previously worn by the UK Anti-Aircraft Corps and Divisions was discontinued.
