1952 Finnish XV Summer Olympic Games Silver Merit Medal and Presentation Case by Tillander Finland.

A scarce original '1952 Finland Summer Olympic Games silver Merit Medal' the edge bearing Finnish silver halmarks, Crown, "916H" and "Y6" for 1952; contained in its original card case with presentation card inscribed "Tillander by Appointment, Jewellers To H.M.King Gustaf VI Adolf" "Helsinki - Aleksanterinkatu 50" "Helsingfors - Alexandersgatan 50" "Finland". Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon, small edge knock.

The 1952 Summer Olympics officially known as the Games of the XV Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event held in Helsinki, Finland from July 19 to August 3 1952.
The Merit Medal were officially awarded to coaches, trainers, officials of the Organizing Committee and managers of the Finnish Sporting Federation etc, in all only 2000 were presented 1732 in Finland and 268 abroad.

A scarce original 'Olympic Games 1936 British made felt cloth badge' still attached to the manufacturers postcard size 'Reference Pattern Card 2425' and dated 8 -7-36; depicting the 'Olympic rings' above a 'Union Flag' with 'Olympic Games 1936' below, embroidered in vivid coloured silk. Very good condition, no traces of any moth, card toned.

Olympic Games 1948 London Silver Winner's Medal.

A very rare original silver winner's medal from the 1948 London Olympic Games, designed by Giuseppe Cassioli an Italian painter and sculptor and one of only 136 produced. The obverse incorporates the Greek goddess of Victory holding a winner's crown of laurel with a depiction of the Roman Colosseum in the background and title "XIVth Olympiad London 1948", the reverse shows a crowd of people carrying a triumphant athlete. Very good condition, remains in uncleaned toned condition.
Diameter 51mm.

The original recipient of this medal is unknown.

A scarce original celluloid tin button badge, the rim with "Regd. No. 851108" a date of 1947 registration. Very good condition, original pin fitting, colours bright, no foxing, just some minor rust marks to reverse.
