A very attractive original circa 1970's late 1980's 'Peninsular and Oriental (P&O) Shipping Line powder compact souvenir'; chic looking black enamel scalloped edge example mounted with a gilt quartered saltire flag inlaid with red, white, blue and yellow enamel; the reverse with multi star decoration and impressed to the centre with maker's details "Stratton Made in England". Very good condition, enamel perfect, outer catch perfect working order, complete with embroidered star decorated black cover, Stratton powder puff and mesh sifter, inside retaining cover with catch a little sensitive and quick to respond to opening, otherwise an excellent example.

A scarce original circa 1950's period 'MV Llangibby Castle souvenir spoon', chromium plated example, the handle displaying a brass and enamel circular badge with 'Union-Castle Line' company flag within a blue enamel title strap. Very good condition, enamel perfect, minimal service wear.

'MV Llangibby Castle' was a passenger liner of the Union-Castle Line, operating between 1929 and 1954. The ship was named after the Welsh castle at Llangybi, Monmouthshire, Wales.

'T.S.S. Voltaire' Lamport & Holt Shipping Line Souvenir Pocket Knife, sunk by German raider 'KMS Thor' in 1941.

An interesting pre-1939 scarce original 'T.S.S. Voltaire souvenir pocket knife'; fine quality example, the composite handle resembling mother of pearl, inlaid with ships silhouette in steel to front, name of the ship to reverse and bearing a single steel blade impressed "Foreign" with fisherman holding catch logo. Very good condition.
Length approx 79mm.

'T.S.S. Voltaire' was lauched in 1923. She was converted to Armed Merchant Cruiser in 1939 with her name changed to 'HMS Voltaire' and was sunk in 1941 whilst in battle with German raider 'KMS Thor', with the loss of 75 lives.

R.M.S.Lusitania Cunard Shipping Line, Commemorative Medal in Case of Issue & Certificate.

The "Lusitania" was sunk by a German submarine on May 7th 1915. She had on board at the time 1,951 passengers and crew, of whom 1,198 perished. This is "An exact replica of the medal which was designed in Germany and distributed to commemorate the sinking of the "Lusitania". It was struck in England during the Great War and issued by the 'Lusitania Souvenir Medal Committee' 32, Duke Street, Manchester Square W.1. with all profits going to the 'St. Dunstan's Blinded Soldiers and Sailors Hostel'.

Very good condition, complete with box of issue, this with scuffs and general age wear, folded certificate toned and with minor foxing.

A scarce original pre-war 'Ellerman & Bucknall S.S.Co.Ld officer's cap badge'; the companies blue flag bearing three white diamonds with 'E & B' red initials and displaying a blue (John Reeves Ellerman) 'JRE' pennant above; superimposed on a gold wire bullion wreath, the reverse with black hessian paper lining with the name of the wearer "A.Walter" in white paint. Good condition, service wear and dulling to the bullion.

'R.M.S.Aquitania Cunard Line' Salt & Pepper Pots with Ocean Liner Ships Enamel Crests.

A scarce circa 1930's period matching pair of 'R.M.S..Aquitania salt and pepper shakers'; sllver plated example displaying the Cunard Line Company enamel badge to each, the underside impressed with "E.P.N.S" (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) and "Made in England". Salt in good condition with minimal wear to plating, dents around the top, two verdigris spots, one with pinhole caused by the salt, no damage to the enamel; pepper in very good condition, no dent or imperfection, no damage to the enamel.

'S.S.Osterley' Orient Steam Navigation Co. Shipping Line, Souvenir Pin Badge.

A scarce circa 1920's period 'S.S. Osterley Shipping Line gilt and enamel brooch', the 'Orient Steam Navigation Company' enamelled blue and white flag mounted to the voided centre of a rope edged blue enamel strap, with title scroll below, in turn mounted on a rounded coiled pin bar, very typical of the period; the reverse with maker's details "Gaunt London". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect except for a nick to the tip of ribbon scroll, gilt finish remains bright.

'S.S.Osterley' was in service for 'Orient Steam Navigation Company Shipping Line', she started her maiden voyage from London to Australia on 6th Aug.1909 . In the Second World War 1941 she was requisitioned as a troop transport ship. She returned to commercial service after the war and was broken up in Glasgow in 1930.
